Yonaton is happily married with 6 children, and 8 grandchildren, and lives in the most amazing Torah community in the world - Har Bracha. He is proud to live on the frontline of the settlement of the Land of Israel and, to be called a settler. Yonaton grew up in a Conservative family in Jackson Heights, Queens, was heavily involved in the Betar Youth Movement and went to Stuyvesant High school and Queens College. He made aliyah in 1984 and got married in 1985. In the past, Yonaton worked as a 'Sofer Stam' (scribe) and has written hundreds of mezuzot and six 'Sifrei Torah' (Torah scrolls). He has worked for Yeshiva Har Bracha as the English-speaking Public Relations man for many years, and also translates Rabbi Melamed's weekly article 'Revivim' http://revivimen.yhb.org.il/ in the 'Besheva' newspaper. Yonaton also manages the highly popular website Halakha Q&A: Rabbi Eliezer Melamed https://www.facebook.com/HalakhaQA/ and is also a longstanding member of the Likud Central Committee.
