Mass arson that swept through Israel less than two weeks ago has virtually disappeared from the news outlets of the country.

Hardly any follow up, expect for a murmur about an investigation underway to determine the source of the fires, as if the celebrations in the  Palestinian Authority did not provide not enough of a clue.

Yet the ashes of the arson continue to simmer with 560 families in Israel,  who face a total loss of their homes and all of their belongings.

These families must cope with the reality that even if they collect something from their insurance or the Israel Ministry of Defense, their  losses will hardly be recovered, let alone the emotional strain that they now experience.

The time has come for each synagogue in Israel or abroad to consider sponsorship of at least one suddenly family who has been rendered homeless from the arson. The sponsoring synagogue would accompany each family in their  time of need, economically and spiritually, as each family looks to a better day.

560 schules should come forth and sponsor 560 families.

As an experienced community organizer with a degree in social work, I offer my services as a "shadchan" between arsoned families and synagogues that are willing to sponsor a family at this time.  I will put the family directly in touch with the synagogue.

People are welcome to help me in this task.

Needless to say, all aid will go directly to the arsoned families, with no go-betweens. .

Do you know of a synagogue willing to sponsor a family whose home was arsoned?
