The Muslim Waqf Authority is planning to change the scenery of the Mount of Olives across from the walls of the Jerusalem's Old City. They plan to build a commercial center for the Arab public in the area.
Jerusalem activist and National Union/National Religious Party candidate for Jerusalem council, Aryeh King, launched a protest and succeeded in blocking the plans, which would have disrupted ancient scenery in the heart of biblical Jerusalem.

In the video above, Aryeh King explains exactly what was in the planning and notes that the Muslim Waqf can still appeal the decision and proceed with the establishment of their commercial center. King expresses his hope that the Jerusalem Municipality will not give in and preserve the scenery of the ancient Mount of Olives.
