Israel Police are considering indicting a senior Shas employee on allegations he sexually abused one of his relatives, Channel 10 reports Monday.

A senior police chief is now investigating the allegations of abuse, which the victim, 33, claims lasted as long as 12 years.

"The first time was a shock. I wanted to ask, 'what are you doing?' but I couldn't talk. He attacked at every opportunity and repeated [the abuse] endless amounts of time even though I begged him to stop."

"Now my soul is flawed. While he lived his life, mine has not yet even begun," she added.

According to the victim, she only told her community about the decade-long sexual abuse she suffered last year. She was promptly beaten with a belt by another relative, who was later indicted on charges of assault.

The Shas employee, meanwhile, denies the allegations. According to him, "this is a woman who has haunted me for 13 years on false accusations and a story filled with lies intended to harm me and my family."

"The same woman told me explicitly she will destroy my life, published pamphlets against me in haredi neighborhoods and wrote false accusations against me on social media sites."
