Cash intended for a wedding was stolen on Tuesday from a groom's car.

The groom, a Jerusalem haredi, reported the theft to Israel Police.

Israel Police immediately acted to find the money, both openly and secretly. Their quest succeeded a few hours later, when they found the sum in its entirety.

After the mission was completed, Israel Police officers contacted the groom and asked him to claim his money at a police station near Jerusalem's Old City.

"We're very happy to return your money to you, especially since it was intended for an event as important as your wedding," the officers said.

The groom emotionally responded, "I didn't believe I would ever see this money again. Thank you, thank you to the detectives and investigators of Israel Police, and to everyone who helped."
