Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center (FSWC) has launched a campaign calling on the Ontario Federation of Labour Executive Committee and Board to denounce the one-sided anti-Israel resolutions which are to be voted on at its upcoming OFL convention.

In a petition that was released to the public today, FSWC states that "a host of one-sided anti-Israel resolutions have been put forward to the delegates at the OFL upcoming Biennial Convention," which begins on November 20.

The resolutions include supporting the boycott of products from Israel, providing support to jailed terrorists, demanding that the security wall be dismantled, and demanding the Canadian government increase humanitarian aid to Palestinian Authority.

"These resolutions are filled with misinformation about the current situation in the Middle East and fail to take into consideration the many dangers facing Israel because of Palestinian-ledterrorism," said FSWC President and CEO Avi Benlolo.

"The antisemitic Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement has been condemned by both the Canadian and Ontario governments, and should similarly be opposed by the executive of the OFL and its delegates."
