An event entitled "Beyond the Start Up Nation" was hosted by Nefesh B’Nefesh and Keren Kayemet L'Israel (KKL), in which over 75 potential Olim gathered in Lower Manhattan last Tuesday at the Museum of Jewish Heritage to hear about opportunities awaiting them in Israel’s North, South, and in Jerusalem.

Nefesh B'Nefesh and KKL have worked together for years to develop Israel’s North and South through Aliyah.

"I'm here for a high-tech networking event to learn about the opportunities and Israel, and what is available in the plan if I want to make Aliyah," said Ariel Habshush who participated.

"I work in technology and I'm really excited to learn about innovation and technology opportunities in Israel," explained Shaindy, another participant. "I really hope to live there one day; it's part of my plan, my heart is in Israel, and there's no way that I could live my life without knowing that eventually I plan to be there one day," she said.

Businessman Michael Hidery said: "We're planning on making Aliyah, next year for September, my wife Sarah and our four kids, and we're very excited, and Nefesh B'Nefesh has been a very crucial part of that process. For several years we've been attending events. I'm in the clean-tech business and sustainable development, and so between Nefesh and KKL there have been many collaborative options for me to reach out, to do some business, to understand the market there, and how we can best integrate into it. We actually put together an award winning design for sustainable development in the Negev through KKL and we actually won first place in that competition, and so we're very excited to continue to build and we appreciate all the support we've been given by Nefesh B'Nefesh and KKL."
