The IDF concluded a major joint training exercise with the involving ground forces and air force forces concluded Thursday. The exercise was carried out in cooperation with the Cypriot military.
A senior officer said that the week-long exercise was a milestone in the IDF's ability to train outside of Israel's borders. "The exercise was designed [so that we would work] closely together, including the air force. I can say that the cooperation was unusual."
Logistics and medical forces also participated in the exercises.
The forces trained in complex terrain conditions and cold and rainy weather to simulate challenging conditions.
The senior officer said that the exercise was a good "practical" test for the challenges the IDF will face in the next war.
