Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu addressed the coalition crisis over the draft law during his flight from Washington to New York Wednesday.

"I want to bring a bill with a very broad consensus that will be acceptable to the attorney general, which will be passed by a larger majority than usual. But I also want a commitment from all the partners to continue the coalition until the end of 2019," Netanyahu said.

"I am interested in continuing with a stable government until the end of its term in November, 2019. If there is good will, we can reach a solution.

"I call this a eucalyptus grove. Some of my friends climbed to the tops of the eucalyptus trees, or they can reach an agreement with a broad solution, If there is a will there is a solution. They have to come down from the tree."
