According to a Reuters report, Russia's Minister of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, inspected Russian units in Ukraine for the first time since the outbreak of the way.

"At the command posts of Russian units, Army General Sergei Shoigu heard reports from the commanders on the current situation and actions of the Russian Armed Forces in the main operational areas," Russia's defense ministry was quoted as saying.

It is unclear when the visit occurred.
