Former Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon, one of the leaders of the protest against the government, explained his position this evening (Wednesday).

"Even in Iran and Russia there are elections, this does not mean that it is a democracy. If they start using force against a protest that has not been violent until now, of course the reaction could be violent. Remember that there are clearly illegal orders - the police and the army understand this," Ya'alon commented to Army Radio.
