Deputy Minister of Finance MK Michal Woldiger came to comfort the family of the late Michael Hassan, a 34-year-old mentally challenged man from Netanya, who was shot to death by police last weekend.

"I came to listen closely and to console the family of the late Michael. Again the same story and again the same result. The writing was on the wall. Cruelty to the weak costs us human lives. The system is tantamount to Sodom and Gomorrah."

"At this very moment, there are thousands more Michaels who are in danger due to the lack of a professional response. The bill I initiated for crisis intervention teams will bring relief to these sad cases and many others."
