The Deputy Speaker of the Knesset, MK Israel Eichler, who is participating in the Israeli parliamentary delegation to Hungary, told the Speaker of the Hungarian Parliament in Budapest about the rocket fire from the Gaza Strip.

Eichler said: "While we are sitting here, in Sderot and in the communities surrounding Gaza, people are sitting in shelters and being attacked with missiles just because they are Jews." The Speaker of the Parliament responded: "Hungary's policy is emphatically that it is Israel's right to defend itself. We strive for peace and a solution for all the peoples of the region and we are happy about the 'Abraham Accords' between Israel and the Arab peoples. This is proof that there is hope for peace."
