British singer/songwriter Sam Smith's show, which was planned to take place at the end of May at a festival in Yarkon Park in Tel Aviv, has been cancelled due to what the production crew referred to as, "unexpected technical and logistical problems." A petition had been circulated on social media against Smith's intention to perform in Israel.

The production stated that "the June 1 shows of Robbie Williams, Martin Garrix, Calum Scott, and Israeli performer Static will still take place as planned."
