The Hostages and Missing Families Forum Headquarters commented on the deal that has been reached between Israel and Hamas to release 50 Israeli hostages in return for a ceasefire and the release of prisoners being held by Israel.

"47 days, our loved ones remain under Hamas captivity.

We welcome every hostage who returns home, yet our demand remains unchanged – the immediate release of all 236 hostages. Securing the safe release of every hostage is a national priority. There is no victory until every last hostage returns home.

With the recently approved ceasefire agreement, the responsibility of the Israeli war cabinet for the fate of our loved ones increases even further. We demand the current ceasefire terms ensure both security and welfare for the remaining hostages held by Hamas, including the promised Red Cross visits.

We urge leaders’ utmost efforts to meet their moral charge with people’s lives in the balance. We are grateful for President Biden's support of this agreement and his unwavering call for all hostages’ release.
The Hostages and Missing Families Forum is working to support the release process of those now returning, pressing on until total liberation comes. We will not rest until every individual is home safely after 47 days deprived of freedom and peace."
