MK Tally Gotliv responded to the report that Hamas rejected the proposal for a hostage deal.

"Hamas rejected the deal. That was expected! Why would they agree? They receive fuel, food and goods, even new forklifts have entered Gaza. They lack nothing. As the soldiers told the Minister of Defense: Enough with the transferring of goods to Hamas. And I say - only weakening the enemy with merciless attacks and occupation of the northern Gaza Strip - this is the only way to subdue Hamas and bring back the hostages."
