Russia’s military said on Monday that it had downed a Ukrainian drone flying toward an airbase deep inside Russian territory. The drone was the second one that had approached a Russian base this month, according to the Associated Press . The Russian Air Defense Ministry announced that the debris from the crash at Engels airbase had killed three soldiers and wounded four. The incident also caused a fire and several explosions, the Russian Baza news outlet said on Telegram . The aircraft have nuclear capabilities. It is located in the Saratov region of Russia on the Volga River, approximately 370 miles east of Ukraine. It was unclear whether the drone had come from Ukraine or Russia.
