Heritage Minister Rabbi Amichai Eliyahu of the Otzma Yehudit Party on Friday submitted his letter of resignation from the Knesset to Knesset Speaker MK Amir Ohana. Eliyahu is resigning from the Knesset as part of the so-called “Norwegian Law”, which permits ministers to resign from the Knesset in order to allow the next person on their party’s slate to enter the Knesset. His resignation as an MK will allow the next candidate on the Otzma Yehudit slate, Yitzhak Kroizer, to enter the Knesset.
