Hezam al-Asad, a member of the Political Bureau of Ansar Allah and a member of the Shura Council, has hinted that his organization was responsible for the launch of a hostile aircraft towards Eilat, Israel's southernmost city. Ansar Allah is the official name for Yemen's Houthi movement. In a post on X, formerly Twitter, al-Asad shared an Al Jazeera update, captioning it, " Al Jazeera , citing the Israeli Home Front. On Friday, he posted a one-word tweet, with the word, "Eilat," written in Arabic. Later on Tuesday , the Houthis confirmed that they had in fact launched a UAV towards Israel. On Tuesday afternoon, a spokesman for the Iran-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen claimed responsibility for recent attacks against Israel. "We launched missiles and drones and pledge to continue the attacks on Israel until the end of Israeli aggression in Gaza."
