As a result, my friends in the Israeli left have decided to write him an open letter:
Dear Bernie,
We are writing to you with much appreciation and esteem to tell you that -
You belong with us.
Come, emigrate to Israel and leave the dirty work to Hillary Clinton, your competitor for the Democratic candidacy.
She is intelligent, she is not Jewish, she thinks like you, but knows how to hide it.
Come to our land, dear Bernie.
In Israel, even though we are only a small percentage of the general public, we have managed to gain control of the entire country.
We have writers like Amos Oz, A.B. Yehoshua, David Grossman and playwrights like Yehoshua Sobol.
We have succeeded in establishing organizations that write, photograph and help BDS, such as B'Tselem, Breaking the Silence, Yesh Gvul and Peace Now.
We have journalists who star on radio and TV, like legal reporter Moshe Negbi, Arye Golan, popular talkshow host Razi Barkai, Amnon Abramowitz, Ha'aretz columnists Gideon Levy and Amira Hass, who even lives in Ramallah.
We have former generals and ISS heads who are ours, such as Ami Ayalon, Yuval Diskin and Amiram Levine. We have politicians like Meretz' Zehava Galon.
We have built an infrastructure and foundation that will allow you to continue your work.
What are you doing in the USA? Come and emigrate to Israel, and we will bring Leon Trotsky, our one-time Jewish leader, back to life.
We, just like you, are busy with self-hatred and endless self-flagellation that spills over to let us hurl accusations at the Jews around us.
We even have a newspaper that will save a place for you on its editorial board if you continue writing in the same vein as you have until now.
You just have to continue your successful efforts and remember the cardinal rule: never stop blaming the Jews who are back in their homeland after 2000 years for everything possible.
There is a place waiting for you in the heavens one day, in the same row as Trotsky, Stalin, Lenin and all the other collaborators.
Do not fear, come to Israel and succeed.
