As Israel faces a renewed terror threat – in the wake of the stabbing of Hallel Yaffa Ariel, a 13-year old Israeli-American who was killed while

sleeping – the radical Israeli left, backed by American Jewish extreme liberals issued a statement in support of “victims of torture” – making no mention of Israelis, who live under a daily terror threat.

Across the political spectrum, Israelis are demanding retribution and increased protection – and all the while, extremists who are funded by American Jews lend tacit support to Palestinian Arab terrorism.  Adalah and Physicians for Human Rights-Israel  - two organizations funded by the New Israel Fund -  have issued a news release “to mark the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture” which neglected to mention Israel or Israeli victims of terror.

This release did however, “call on the international community to take action to end the torture and ill-treatment of Palestinian children from the Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT) by the Israeli authorities.”  They detail the case of three supposed Palestinian-Arab youth who crossed borders into Israel and were tortured.   No documentation of their claims was provided – nor any context for why they sneaked over fences and borders.

Physicians for Human Rights-Israel has received $1,275,815 in tax deductible contributions from the United States from 2008-2014.  Donations from foreign countries comprised 51.1 percent of their total budget from 2012 to 2014, and their press release detailing the project appears to be funded by the European Union. As NGO Monitor notes, “In 2009, PHR-I’s highly biased political agenda led the Israel Medical Association to halt cooperative activities, and elicited the condemnations of Dr. Yoram Blachar, president of the World Medical Association, who called PHR-I “a radical political group disguised as a medical organization.”

They have caused controversy in the past, when they “…co-sponsored an exhibit of children’s drawings titled “Childhood Under Fire,” which included images falsely depicting Israeli soldiers intentionally firing on Palestinian civilians,” and “placed an advertisement in Haaretz declaring that the “organization will only work with doctors who resist the occupation.”

As terror expert David Firester has noted, terrorism continues to rise – and those who lend tacit support help terrorism grow.

Foreign states are partnering with radical American Jews to pressure and harm Israel. While some Jews stand with the IDF, American Jewish extremists – including the President of UJA-Federation – continue to fund the New Israel Fund, whose money harms Israel. Donors to NIF who help this heinous work include too many known American Jews.
