A 90-year-old Israel grandfather has won $2 million (7,000,000 million) in the lottery and says he will divide it up among his eight grandchildren.

“I discovered I won when I read the winning number in a newspaper,” the unidentified man from central Israel said.

”I couldn’t believe my eyes,” he added. I have been waiting patiently for 40 years for my turn to come, and now, at my age I finally won. I will divide it up among my eight grandchildren, each of whom will receive $250,000 (875,000 shekels).”

He said he and his wife are pensioners who live comfortably and do not need the money.

“”I am not taking anything with me after I die,” the elderly grandfather said, “I was educated to help my children and grandchildren, and there is no one happier than I am now that towards the end of my days, I can do so.”
