MK Yaakov Litzman (United Torah Judaism, or UTJ) repeated on Monday a previously-stated commitment not to sit in the same coalition with secularist Yesh Atid. Litzman told Radio Lelo Hafsaka : "Would you sit with a person who was beating you up for two years, robbing your money, robbing your child stipends, doing everything he can to demean and humiliate you, and suddenly, because of the elections, he offers that you become friends?” "We have clean politics and we behave otherwise,” he stated. Litzman said that UTJ could sit in the same coalition with Labor, although it prefers Likud, and that it has sat in a coalition with Meretz in the past, so that it “does not rule out anybody” (except Lapid, apparently). Lapid entered the studio immediately after the interview and said that Litzman was “saying things that are said right before elections in order to please a certain electorate, and that immediately after the elections, other statements will be heard, which will make it possible for Lapid to sit with the haredim in the same government.
