In a shocking collapse of security and law enforcement, the home of Jerusalem Councilman Arieh King in the eastern Jerusalem neighborhood of Ma'ale Hazeitim on the Mount of Olives was attacked last week - this makes the 49th time that King's house has been struck by Arab terrorists. King announced on his Facebook page that the firebomb attack, in which two masked Arab terrorists hurled four Molotov cocktails at his home in an attack captured on security cameras, marks 49 times he has been targeted since August 2013. The attack caused damage to his possessions, and police were unable to locate the assailants. " I told police officers that (next time - ed.) will be the 50th attack, I will not be able to stop my special team (my 4 boys) to take (sic) the law in their own hands," King wrote on his English language page with a link to video of the attack, which can be viewed by clicking on the image below. Writing on his Hebrew page, King gave a brief overview of the attacks that he has suffered on his home until this point. Those attacks include "the throwing of hundreds of rocks, the shooting of hundreds of fireworks, the shooting of a 9mm bullet , the throwing of dozens of Molotov cocktails - and the police still haven't arrested a single terrorist." Regarding the 9mm gunfire attack, King told Arutz Sheva last November about how police dawdled in even responding to the incident, and a crew only came to investigate the evidence a month after the bullet hit a wall of his home. Later that month he revealed police had warned him he was being targeted by "Islamic terrorists," and told to be on the alert, although no police detail was assigned to him to ensure his safety. In announcing the 49th attack, King pointed an accusatory finger at Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovich (Yisrael Beytenu), and Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino, for not taking action to ensure the safety of Jews such as himself in Israel's capital - even for city council members as he is. And yet King apparently was not about to let the constant threat of terrorist attacks on his home deter him or dampen his spirits. In the comments section of his post, after receiving concerned responses and suggestions, King wrote "for all of those recommending snipers on the roof of my home, if you know snipers who want to train in shooting terrorists, my home and the roof of my home are open to you, a cup of coffee and cake 'on the house.'" King has been outspoken in calling for Jewish rights to be defended in Jerusalem. He has condemned Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barkat for causing a de facto divide of the city by freezing Jewish construction and allowing rampant illegal Arab construction, all while banning Jews from eight neighborhoods . He has likewise criticized Jerusalem Affairs Minister Naftali Bennett for turning a blind eye to the situation.
