A stabbing attack was thwarted in northern Samaria by alert IDF soldiers Thursday morning. Soldiers shot the would-be attacker near the village of Hawarra, as he attempted to stab one of them. The terrorist was eliminated at the scene. No soldiers were hurt in the incident. "During routine security activity in Hawwara, forces spotted a suspect and approached in order to question him," it said in a statement of the incident near Shechem (Nablus) in an area where Israelis and Palestinians cross a military checkpoint. The army said the man ran towards the soldiers, who opened fire, "resulting in his death."
