A 43-year-old police officer in the Jordan Valley was stabbed Thursday morning by a 14-year-old female terrorist. He was lightly wounded in his shoulder and has been taken to Haemek Hospital in Afula for treatment.

The female terrorist, a resident of the Arab village of Ujah where the attack occurred, has been arrested.

The officer was directing traffic in Ujah after a tree collapsed on route 90, blocking part of the road.

Initial reports indicate that the terrorist stabbed one of the two policemen who had arrived to direct traffic before attempting to flee. The wounded police officer chased her down and arrested her.

The incident is the latest in a large wave of terror attacks over the past 24 hours.

On Wednesday, terrorists infiltrated the town of Eli, wounding one. The victim, Roi Harel, has now been released from the Shaare Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

Wednesday night, a pair of terrorists stabbed two soldiers in the town of Har Bracha. Hours later, terrorists opened fire on a police car near Rehelim.
