שריפה בבניין בת"א, חשש ללכודים

A fire broke out on Sunday in a building on Tel Aviv's Hayarkon Street. The surrounding streets were closed off by Israel Police, and there is a concern people may be trapped inside the building.

According to Magen David Adom, seven workers have already been rescued from the building. Four others suffered smoke inhalation, and two of them have been transferred to the city's Ichilov Hospital.

Israel Police said the fire affects several of the building's upper floors, which are under construction, and asked the public not to enter the area.

Allenby-Hayarden has been closed to northbound traffic, as has Hayarkon-Hayarden. Eastbound Hayarkon-Herbert Samuel has been also been closed.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
