For the first time in several months, US President Donald Trump's support has risen.

A new poll by Rasmussen showed that Trump's support rose 6% in the past several days, bringing it from last week's 39% to its current 45%. This includes 29% who "strongly approve" of Trump's performance.

However, 53% of respondents said they are dissatisfied with Trump's performance since taking office. Included in the 53% are the 44% of respondents who "strongly disapprove" of Trump's performance. Former US President Barack Obama during the same period received 54% support.

A poll published at the end of last week by Gallup showed Trump as receiving only 37% support. And an additional poll expected to be published on Monday will include Trump's actions during the crisis with North Korea.

Last month, a poll by Rasmussen showed that 45% of voters supported military action against North Korea.

Trump threatened North Korea with "fire and fury" if they fire nuclear missiles at the US territory of Guam.
