Israeli national Matan Orgad, 35, was found lifeless in India, 12 kilometers (7.45 miles) from the village of Kasol in the country's northern Himachal Pradesh province.

Orgad, who lived in Kibbutz Kfar Aza in southern Israel, had not contacted his family since the beginning of December.

On December 2, he left Kasol for smaller villages, leaving his belongings at a guesthouse. When he did not contact the guesthouse within a reasonable period of time, Orgad's family turned to the "Migdal" insurance company, which hired the services of the Magnus search and rescue organization.

Rescue teams working together with Israel's Foreign Ministry and the Migdal insurance company searched various local villages and planned to send an Israeli search company to the area.

On Wednesday, a local representative reported that Orgad's body had been found near Kasol.

The Israeli Consul in New Delhi Eli Sneh worked with Magnus to find Orgad, and is currentlyacting to bring Orgad's body back to Israel for burial.
