The long-delayed trial of GSS agent-provocateur Avishai Raviv finally began this morning. Today\'s session was held behind closed doors, but it is likely that future sessions will be open to the public. Raviv is accused of knowing of Yigal Amir\'s intention to assassinate then-Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin, and doing nothing to stop it. Many of those familiar with the case feel that Raviv should have been charged not only with not preventing the killing of the Prime Minister, but also with encouraging it. At least two witnesses have testified that they saw Raviv goad Amir into murdering the Prime Minister.
