Artist Shlomo Levy of the religious Moshav Beit Meir died of a serious illness at the age of 60 at the Shaare Tzedek Hospital in Jerusalem.

Levy experienced a tragedy during childhood when he was electrocuted as he tried to remove a kite from an electricity pole. Both his legs and left hand were amputated.

Despite his handicap, he made a living his entire life as an artist and painter.

His funeral took place on Saturday night in Jerusalem.
