Masked anti-Israel activists protested outside the home of a Jewish Democratic Congressman on Monday, the first anniversary of the October 7 massacre.

The protesters arrived dressed in black with tents and sleeping bags outside the home of Rep. Greg Landsman (D-Oh) on Sunday to camp in front of the home through the anniversary of the October 7 massacre.

Police were required to escort the family in and out of their home.

Landsman said in a statement, “On the eve of the one-year anniversary of the October 7th terror attacks, when Jews were brutally murdered and kidnapped, these people came to the home of a Jewish family at night, dressed in all black and fully masked."

“My daughter and I will be attending a service to bear witness to the atrocious terror attacks of October 7th. Meanwhile, these people will be outside of my house, in an attempt to intimidate my Jewish family every time we try to leave our home," he said.

“They’ve done this to my staff and me for nearly a year, and now they’re doing it to my family and neighbors. I don’t think they have any boundaries at this point.”

“Our family hopes they leave soon and protest in a more appropriate and less intrusive manner. We’re grateful to the Cincinnati Police Department for their ongoing efforts and work to keep us all safe,” Landsman said.

The protest was organized by the group Midwest Direct Action 4 Pali!, which cited Landsman's vote to prevent the State Department from citing the figures given by Hamas for the death toll in Gaza, figures that have been shown by many analysts to be inaccurate, to justify the decision to target his home.

“On the eve of the one year mark since the beginning of the genocide in Palestine, local activists in Cincinnati have gathered outside Congressman Greg Landsman’s house to denounce his votes to conceal the death toll and continue funding mass murder in Gaza,” the group wrote on Instagram.“We mark in solemn vigil that we will not rest until the genocide is over and Palestine is free.”
