Jerusalem district police foiled a planned terror attack over the Passover holiday, arresting the terrorist who planned to carry out the act.

The suspect, (37) a resident of Abu Tor, was arrested in recent days in the Old City of Jerusalem, while wearing a mask. During questioning, it became clear that he had been banned from entering the Temple Mount compound for hanging terrorist flags at the holy site.

The investigation also revealed that the suspect intended to carry out a stabbing attack in the capital.
