The Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee approved for its second and third readings the temporary order setting the duration of mandatory military service at 32 months.
The proposal passed by a vote of eight in favor to one opposed among committee members, and it will now move to the Knesset plenum for a final vote.
