Col. G., commander of the Ovda Airbase, is expected to be promoted to the rank of brigadier general next summer, becoming the first female pilot in the IAF to reach that rank.
Seven years ago, she commanded the Nachshon Squadron, based at Nevatim Airbase and responsible for intelligence-gathering missions. Before her appointment as commander of Ovda Airbase, she served as head of the Strike Branch in the Israeli Air Force’s Air Operations Directorate.
