The Israel Airports Authority rejected reports of a staffing shortage at Ben Gurion International Airport, saying the delays were caused, among other factors, by heavy air traffic, restrictions in European airspace, and flights by American refueling aircraft.
According to the authority, an unusually large backlog of approximately 90 flights accumulated within three hours, while around 90,000 passengers are expected to pass through the airport today.
