    Officers locate young gazelle held illegally in A-Ram

    Detectives from the Border Police Coastal District Central Unit, Border Police officers in Judea and Samaria, and Israel Nature and Parks Authority inspectors located a young Israeli gazelle overnight in the village of A-Ram. The gazelle is a protected wild animal that may not legally be hunted or kept in captivity.

    The animal was transferred for further treatment to the wildlife hospital at the Ramat Gan Safari.

    A 48-year-old resident of Kafr Aqab was detained for questioning on suspicion of illegally trading in, possessing, and hunting a protected natural asset.
