Many young Jews from around the world have visited Poland to learn about the Holocaust. Now a new activist group has begun introducing them to a different side of Poland.

Activist Sam Konig says the groups he brings to Poland are surprised by how friendly and how involved in Jewish life many Polish non-Jews are. He noted that Poland is one of Israel’s strongest supporters in Europe.

Konig also discussed Polish Jewish shame, and the struggle to reconcile daily life with the legacy of the Holocaust.
