This coming Sunday will be the 16th anniversary of the murder of Hadas Abutbul in a terrorist shooting attack while driving from her work at the Shaked nursery school to her home in the Mevo Dotan in Samaria.

Her husband, Yitzhak, is preparing to hold the memorial ceremony for Hadas on the sidewalk opposite the Prime Minister's Residence, where he is participating in the hunger strike of bereaved families in protest against the government's failure to fulfill its promises to fund necessary security upgrades in Judea and Samaria.

Abutbul said Friday that if Prime Minister Netanyahu does not meet the security demands of the residents of Judea and Samaria, "I willhold the memorial service for my wife here on the sidewalk opposite the prime minister's residence."

Yitzhak's daughter, Yuval Abutbul, said on Facebook that "16 years ago (when I was only a one-and-a-half year old), my mother Hadas was killed in a shooting attack on the road leading to Mevo Dotan. Over the past 16 years, my father has been coping daily and raised us alone, with "double" love and dedication and always with a big smile on his face."

"Usually, we are used to marking the memorial day for mother in the cemetery and with a limited number of family members. But this year is different. This year, my father, who is usually so quiet, decided to stop being silent and join the struggle of bereaved families for the sake of security on the roads and in the settlements. It has been 18 days since Father went to Jerusalem, and he has been on a hunger strike for the last six days," she wrote.

She asked the Israeli public to attend the memorial ceremony outsaide the Prime Minister's Residence this coming Sunday. "The memorial day is approaching and we decided this year to mark this special day together with the entire Jewish people in Jerusalem - opposite the Prime Minister's Residence as part of the struggle that Dad is leading."

"I'm not used to asking for things, certainly not from people I do not know, but I really ask you - my brothers - come and strengthen with us at these moments, my father needs this support, the bereaved families need it as well. Hope you will arrive - Sunday, 4 Gaza Street, Jerusalem, at 16:00."

Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, one of the leaders of the protest, said: "It is very painful that we have reached this situation, and we expect the government to come to terms with the decision of the political echelon that was adopted on this issue."
