Samir Saadi, Deputy Mayor of the northern Israeli city of Nazareth, posted condolences to the family of the terrorist who was shot after he opened fire at IDF forces in Jenin, and wished a full recovery to the injured.

"Our condolences to the cousins in the Jenin camp," Saadi wrote.

"I ask Allah to accept him with the shahids (martyrs), the righteous, and the good friends, and we also ask Allah to heal all the wounded."

MK Ofir Sofer (Religious Zionism) responded by calling Saadi "a terror supporter who receives a salary from the State."

"There is no place to wait for him to apologize and a media round of firing and returning. The Interior Minister must end his position and the police must open a criminal investigation against him," Sofer said.
