Elkana Handler, son of the head of the Hesder Yeshiva in Ramla, Rabbi Aryeh Handler, died today (Wednesday) at the age of 22 of a heart attack.

His funeral will take place at 5:30 pm in the Ramla City Cemetery.

The late Elkana Handler lived in Yitzhar and was a student at the Yeshiva Roeh Yisrael. He is survived by his wife, son, parents and nine brothers and sisters.

A message sent on behalf of the family to the staff of the Hesder Yeshiva reads: "Dear friends and brothers! It is with great grief that I report the death of Elkana Handler, son of Rabbi Eliyahu Aryeh Handler and Chana z"l."

According to the funeral notice, "The funeral will take place today at the Ramla cemetery, with shivah taking place at the Handler family home on 23 Moshe Rabbeinu Street, Ramla."
