This morning, the Commander of the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), General ( * * * * ) Michael “Erik” Kurilla began his visit to the IDF. This is General ( * * * * ) Kurilla’s second visit to the State of Israel since entering his position on April 1st. This visit is a complimentary meeting following the strategic-operational forum between the two nation's militaries last month and will focus on Israel's aerial defense array. The Chief of the General Staff will meet with senior officials from the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces. This visit is in addition to recent meetings and cooperation between the two countries, as part of the advancement of military-security cooperation between the State of Israel and the Kingdom of Morocco. Accompanying the Chief of the General Staff will be the Head of the IDF’s International Cooperation Division, BG Effie Defrin and the Head of the Intelligence Research Division, BG Amit Saar. The Deputy Chief of the General Staff, MG Herzi Halevi, will be responsible for the Chief of the General Staff's duties during LTG Kohavi's visit to the Kingdom of Morocco.
