IDF soldiers on Sunday night operated in the Palestinian Arab town of Kafr Dan, northwest of Jenin, in order to demolish the homes of the terrorists who were involved in the shooting near the Gilboa (Jalame) Crossing in September, in which Major Bar Falah was murdered.
Palestinian Arab sources reported that during the operation, a gun battle developed between the soldiers and Palestinian Arabs.
According to the reports, an armed Palestinian Arab terrorist and a 17-year-old teen were killed during the clashes with the soldiers.
There are no injuries among the soldiers.
Falah, 30, was a resident of the coastal city of Netanya. Falah served as deputy commander of the IDF's Reconnaissance Battalion 934 (Gadsar Nahal).
The incident in which he was killed occurred when terrorists opened fire on IDF soldiers, prompting Israeli security personnel to return fire.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said at the time that IDF lookouts identified two suspects near the fence. IDF soldiers who were rushed to the spot surrounded the suspects and started an arrest procedure, during which the suspects opened fire at the soldiers.
Two terrorists were eliminated during the gun battle.
