A driver of bus route 381 of the Afikim company on Sunday evening reported to the police that shots were fired towards his bus near the Palestinian Arab city of Halhul, located between Kiryat Arba and Karmei Zur.

There were no injuries, but the bus was damaged as a result of the shooting. IDF forces began searching the area for suspects. During the searches, the forces found bullet casings.

The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said in a statement, "A shooting attack occurred a short time ago against an Israeli bus near the town of Halhul. There were no injuries, but the bus sustained damage. IDF forces began searching the area, during which bullet casings were found."

The head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council and chairman of the Yesha Council, Shlomo Ne’eman, responded to the shooting attack and said, "Terrorism must be eradicated, by strengthening the settlement enterprise and the Jewish presence throughout Judea and Samaria. We are strengthening the IDF soldiers and the new government in their war for the security of the settlement enterprise and the security of the entire State of Israel."
