
Against the backdrop of global economic and geopolitical changes and increasing cyber-attacks, the Permanent Mission of Israel to the United Nations, led by Israel's Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan, will host a gathering of global cyber industry leaders tomorrow in cooperation with Israel's National Cyber Directorate (INCD) and Team8 for the international community and senior executives of global high-tech companies. The event will focus on, among other topics, cooperating in the field of defensive cyber action. As part of the event, senior executives will discuss cooperation in order to produce tools to deal with the threats of cyber-attacks on critical civilian infrastructure including hospitals, government offices, and more.
Ambassador Erdan will address the event. The United States' Principal Deputy National Cyber Director Kemba Eneas Walden, the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Team8 Nadav Zafrir, the UN's Chief Information Technology Officer Assistant Secretary-General Bernando Mariano Joaquim Junior, and the INCD's Executive Director of International Cooperation Aviram Atzaba will also participate in the event. In addition, a panel with cyber experts from the private sector including Microsoft, Rockwell Automation, and JupiterOne, will discuss the promotion of partnerships between the public and private sectors in defensive cyber.
UN Ambassadors from various countries around the world and cyber executives from the private sector are expected to attend the event.
