A Palestinian terrorist attempted to stab an Israeli citizen at the Sde Efraim farm near Ramallah Saturday morning.
The IDF Spokesperson stated that the terrorist exited his vehicle at the farm and attempted to stab the Israeli but was shot to death by the potential victim.
The Israeli was unharmed. IDF forces searched the area.
In footage from the scene, the terrorist can be seen chasing the civilian with a knife. The civilian then opened fire at him. At the beginning of the attempt, the terrorist can be seen falling, but then stands up and continues chasing the Israeli, who again shoots the Palestinian from short range, hitting him. The Palestinians identified the terrorist as Tarik O'deh Yusuf Maali, 42, from the village of Naama, west of Ramallah.
This is the third attempted terror attack at Sde Efraim in the past two years. In March 2021, a terrorist infiltrated the farm, took a 10cm kitchen knife and attempted to stab an Israeli woman. The terrorist was stopped without shooting. A month earlier, a terrorist infiltrated the farm, yelled "Allah hu Akbar", attacked one of the residents, and was shot dead.
