Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has met with leading economists and financiers to discuss a number of issues, including the government's pending judicial reforms. During the course of the meeting, the CEO of Israel's Discount Bank, Uri Levin, told Netanyahu that, "You simply cannot ignore all the economists and financiers who have expressed such grave doubts regarding your proposed reforms." Levin stressed that, "You have to stop this program immediately. Change should only be implemented with great caution and broad consensus. It could be that we are wrong and you're right - but the price for your being wrong could be a fatal blow dealt to both democracy and the economy." Levin was also present at a recent meeting between the U.S. Ambassador to Israel and heads of various Israeli industries, where warnings regarding the judicial reforms were also voiced. Last Motzaei Shabbat (Saturday evening), Levin was filmed at the anti-government protest in Tel Aviv.
