Al-Qassam Brigades, the military arm of the Hamas terrorist organization, released a video documenting the firing of anti-aircraft missiles at Israel Air Force planes that shot down an unmanned aerial vehicle over the Gaza Strip. According to a statement by Al-Qassam Brigades, the UAV which was downed was a Shihab-type UAV which was on an operational mission. The video shows the launch of six anti-aircraft missiles, five of which were launched in an open area and one which was launched from a camouflaged military position. The Defense News website has reported in the past that photos posted on social media indicate the presence of North Korean shoulder-fired missiles in the hands of Hamas and that the missile used is an HT-16PGJ MANPADS type designed to intercept aerial targets.
