As Israeli Airforce aircraft closed in on an Islamic Jihad terror target in the Gaza Strip Thursday morning, two noncombatant Gazan children were identified by the IDF within the striking range of the target. Following the identification, the aircraft held fire and aborted the strike. On Monday, the IDF launched Operation Shield and Arrow, targeting the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror organization in the Gaza Strip. Earlier Thursday morning, an IAF airstrike killed Ali Ghali, the commander of the rocket launching force of the Islamic Jihad terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, who was in a hideout apartment in Khan Yunis.
