Minister for the Development of the Periphery, the Negev, and the Galilee Yitzhak Wasserlauf (Otzma Yehudit) saw a post on social media by journalist Sivan Hilai requesting assistance for a family from Netivot, in southern Israel, with children who have special needs.

"Good People," wrote Hilai, "I am looking for a place that would host a family from Netivot with children who have special needs. Parents and six children (eight people) need a calm and nice environment until the situation in the south calms down. If you have a solution, talk to me, and I'll be glad to connect you with the family."

Wasserlauf, who was on his way to the south to support the residents when he saw the request, went to visit the family and made sure to put them in contact with the owner of a vacation villa in northern Israel. The Minister also intends to involve welfare to provide additional solutions for the family.

Wasserlauf thanked Tzachi Eliyahu, a member of Otzma Yehudit, who answered the call and hosted the family, free of charge, in suites that he owns. "The residents of the south are suffering, especially children with special needs who have trouble getting to shelter and have a more difficult time overcoming the challenges," said Wasserlauf.
